This is a photo of me aged 4 years standing on the bonnet of  a Jeep in Scraesdon Fort, Cornwall, UK in 1944 just prior to the D-Day landings. The soldiers of 26th Regt "adopted" me. I would love to hear from any vet who remembers those days.

Here is a photo of my grandpa, Pvt. Carl J. Bohnhoff, Sr., killed in action on June 13, 1944; buried in Normandy American 
Cemetery. He was a member of the 1st Infantry Division, 26th Infantry Regiment. If anyone has any information about my
